Going Postal
Arena's 5th Terry Pratchett production was Going Postal. Moist von Lipwig was a con artist, a fraud and a man faced with a life choice: be hanged or put Ankh-Morpork's ailing postal service back on its feet. It was a tough decision. With the help of a golem who has been at the bottom of a hole in the ground for over two hundred years, a pin fanatic and an aging Junior Postman, he's got to see that the mail gets through. In taking on the evil chairman of the Grand Trunk Semaphore Company and a midnight killer, he's also got to stay alive. Getting a date with Adora Belle Dearheart would be nice, too. In the mad world of the mail, can a criminal succeed where honest men have failed and died? Perhaps there's a shot at redemption for a man who's prepared to push the envelope ... The music in Going Postal is by Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Alexander Courage, Brad Fiedel, JS Bach Arena would also like to give special thanks to: Methuen Publishing - Stephen Briggs - Norma Davis - Hywel Williams - Old Mill Theatre - Stirling Players - Roy Hopwell - Garrick Theatre - The Perth Horse & Pony Club - Murray Petrone - Lee Patterson - Dominica Malcolm - Symmetry Make-Up Design - Don Allen - Joanne Williams - Haszel James - Kelly van Geest - Jill van Geest - Ned Wolf - Casper Smoochkatt - Tasha Bubbles - Arista Records - Polydor Records - BMG Australia - Sony Music - Maestro Masters - Warner Music - Varese Sarabande - And all the Sponsors of our 2007 Quiz Night, without them the production could not have gone ahead.
